    Easy Toddler Art Project: Collage

    • Facebook

Like most toddlers, my son is fascinated by tiny objects. I harnessed his interest for an easy toddler art project: making a collage.

Toddler's hand applying collage items to paper with finger. Text overlay reads, "easiest toddler collage".

The set up for this collage art project is so easy!

I sat him down in front of a piece of paper and squeezed out several lines and blobs of glue. I gave him a handful of small trinkets: jewel-y things, googly eyes, foam shapes and suggested he push them into the glue.

He thought it was great fun.

Of course, because of the size of the trinkets, remember to supervise closely so that your child does not put items in their mouth.

I loved how uncomplicated this art activity was. It was just as much fun as this simple trick that made him rekindle a love of drawing! Plus, there was no clean-up! OK. I did have to wipe his hands afterward. But don't we wipe hand twelve thousand times a day anyway?

Nice to see the toddler posts. I need to do more with my little one....I think all moms of multiple children say that.
